Thank you for choosing Chamisa Aquamation Services.

Our Quality Control Measures

We want to assure you that your pet is in the best of hands, and we fully understand the concerns you may have during this difficult time. Transparency and trust are at the heart of our process and everything we do, and we are here to walk you through every step to ensure your peace of mind.

The Aquamation care process begins at the hospital or in your home.   Each pet is assigned an identifcation card with your information along with a uniquely numbered metal tag.  The tag number is recorded on the identification card and then securely affixed to your pet’s leg after death is confirmed.  The identification card is then attached to the pet’s individual body bag.

When your pet arrives at our facility, we confirm that the number tag matches the identification tag.  We then perform our aftercare services such as creation of the clay paw prints and ink prints, and collect hair clippings.  The remains are stored in their labelled bags in our walk-in cooler until they are ready for aquamation.

When your pet is ready for aquamation, they are gently removed from their bag, the number tag is again confirmed with the identification tag, and they are then placed in their individual baskets with the metal tag still affixed to their leg.  After aquamation, the number tag remains with the mineral for the drying process, and it is only separated from the remains after the mineral is processed and packaged for the families.

The metal ID tag remains with your pet from the moment they leave the hospital until the final return of their ashes in the urn. This ensures complete accuracy and identification throughout the entire process.

We understand that these moments can be filled with uncertainty and fear. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us via phone or email with any questions or concerns. We operate under a full open-door policy and welcome your inquiries at any time. We are honored to be a part of your, and your pet’s, lives and thank you for entrusting us with their final care.
