Thank you for choosing Chamisa Aquamation Services.

Our Quality Control Measures

We want to assure you that your pet is in the utmost care, and we fully recognize the concerns you may have during this difficult time. Transparency and trust are fundamental to our process and guide everything we do. We are committed to guiding you through every step to provide you with peace of mind.

The aquamation care process begins either at the hospital or in your home. Each pet is assigned an identification card containing your information, along with a uniquely numbered metal tag. The tag number is recorded on the identification card and securely affixed to your pet’s leg after death is confirmed. The identification card is then attached to the pet’s individual body bag.

Upon arrival at our facility, we verify that the metal tag number matches the identification card. We then proceed with aftercare services, including the creation of clay paw prints and ink prints, as well as the collection of hair clippings. The remains are stored in labeled bags within our walk-in cooler until ready for aquamation.

When your pet is prepared for aquamation, they are gently removed from the bag, and the metal tag number is again confirmed against the identification card. The pet is then placed in an individual basket with the metal tag still affixed to their leg. Following aquamation, the metal tag remains with the mineral remains through the drying process and is only separated once the remains are processed and packaged for return to the family.

The metal identification tag remains with your pet from the moment they leave the hospital until the final return of their ashes in the urn. This ensures absolute accuracy and proper identification throughout the entire process.

We understand that this time may be accompanied by uncertainty and concern. Please do not hesitate to contact us by phone or email with any questions or concerns. We operate with a full open-door policy and welcome your inquiries at any time. It is an honor to be part of your and your pet’s lives, and we sincerely thank you for entrusting us with their final care.
